Andreas Engesvik

Andreas Engesvik is recognized as one of Norway’s most prominent designers, and active in a variety of fields, including furniture, tableware and industrial design.

After studying art history at the University of Bergen Norway and completing an MA in design at the National College of Art and Design, he co-founded the design studio Norway Says in 2000. Today, several of the studio’s products and furniture pieces have become contemporary classics.

Since 2010, he runs his own studio, Andreas Engesvik Oslo. This has rendered long-term collaborations with a range of international brands – Iittala, Muuto, FontanaArte, Asplund and Fogia. Alongside his own work, Engesvik has been a dedicated promoter of Norwegian design, including teaching and supporting talents in the making.

In 2012, Engesvik was appointed as guest professor at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfack) in Stockholm.
